__ Nepal 2017 __ After living in Rwanda during the winter of 2011/12 I lost my love for photography somewhere on the way. I had finished school in 2011 and had to decide what to do next. Photography as a job seemed not to be an option back then. I thought of studying it but was not confident enough to try. So after deciding that this is not something I could do for a living (because I told myself others would do it so much better anyway) I stopped almost completely. I took some photos now and then but I did not love it anymore.
And it would take me years to come back to it.
Traveling to Nepal in 2017 made me fall in love with photography all over again. I was so touched and inspired by the immense beauty of this country that I had to capture it.
When I look at the photos today I feel that they are really bad - because of course I had no idea what I was doing. I had a camera and no idea how to handle it. But so what? I love them for what they mean to me. For everybody else these are just a bunch of pictures that they may not even like. But to me they mean a lot. They remind me of that feeling to be completely inspired by a place, by nature and by people.
And I have not stopped loving photography since then ever again.
